Campaigns
The NSWNMA has several campaigns in action to improve the working lives of our members and to defend our rights at work, including:
| Ratios put patient safety first! | ||||||
The NSW Government has flatly rejected your claim to put patient safety first by improving and extending the nursing ratios system. The O'Farrell Government is also seeking to discount its legislated 2.5 percent annual payrise cap to fund the increase in compulsory superannuation. In response to this rejection, NSWNMA workplace delegates voted to escalate the campaign, demanding the Government revise its offer by May 30.A record 214 NSWNMA branches, representing more than 30,000 public-sector nurses and midwives throughout NSW, have endorsed the NSWNMA's claim. The current Public Health System Nurses & Midwives (State) Award expires on June 30 this year.Ratios put patient safety first - Join the 2013 campaign!» more |
