Appeal for Haiti

Type: Union News       Subject: International
1 February 2010

Following the devastating earthquake that hit the capital of Haiti, Port-au-Prince, a city of three million people now live displaced, without adequate food, water and suitable shelter.

At a recent meeting of the NSWNA Committee of Delegates (COD), delegates collected $1,500.

Members can do their bit by donating to the relief efforts via Union Aid Abroad–APHEDA.

All funds raised in the Haiti Appeal will be directed to relief efforts being undertaken by the Canadian Auto Workers and other Canadian unions.
