Type: Union News Subject: General
12 January 2010
Get $20 for every Nurse or Midwife you sign up!
NSWNA Members now receive a $20 Coles Myer Group Gift Card for every member they recruit.
The Association has reviewed its very successful recruiter's reward system for members that has been running for over 17 years.
Because we recognise and value your recruitment efforts, we want to more appropriately reward you for taking the time to talk to the nurses and midwives that you work with about the benefits of belonging to the Association.
Once you have recruited 4 new members you will be entitled to an $80 Coles Myer Group Gift Card. For every new member you sign up after that, you will recieve a $20 gift card.
Gift cards are dispatched to recruiters following the February, April, june, august, October and December NSWNA Council meetings.
Secondly, due to requests from some recruiters, you may now opt to receive your reward gift cards from either David Jones or Coles Group/Myers.
Coles Myer Group gift Cards are valid for two years. Gift cards are not deemed to be income for the purposes of taxation.
You can use the gift cards at the following Coles Group retailers: Coles, Coles Central, BiLo, Myer, Target, Baby Target, Target Country, Liquorland, Vintage Cellars, First Choice Liquor Superstore, Officeworks, Pick'n'Pay Hypermarket, and iTunes Music Cards.
We can be even stronger!
Most nurses and midwives understand that for the profession to remain strong and viable they need a strong union to represent them.
However, we all know there are nurses and midwives working who are not members of the Association.
Often these nurses and midwives tell us that they want to join but 'have not been invited' to do so.
It is important for members to explain to their non member colleagues that it is the collective strength of union members which enables us to run these large pay and conditions campaigns and negotiations, claims that all nurses and midwives working in NSW benefit from.
Whether your workplace is large or small make sure you invite your colleagues to join and to become part of the strength of your union.
You may also know nurses who work in other facilities in your town or suburb who may be interested in joining.
Let's keep our union strong and effective.
