| Paid Maternity Leave Rights at Work | ||||||
The NSW Nurses' Association, ACTU and other unions believe that paid maternity leave is a fundamental human right that should be provided to all mothers. It will benefit mothers, families, the economy and business. The Productivity Commission has recommended that the Government fund 18 weeks leave to be paid to mothers and two weeks to partners at the minimum wage rate. Unions call for paid maternity leave to become a new national employment standard. You can find out more about the Paid Maternity Leave Rights at Work campaign on this page and how you can take action and get involved. |
