Because We Care - Aged Care Can't Wait

The Because We Care campaign aimed to:

Make Budget 2012 the aged care budget and ensure quality of care by guaranteeing a minimum number of nurses to residents on every shift.

These objectives were achieved with the Living Longer. Living Better aged care package announced by the Federal Government in April 2012 and enacted in the 2012 Budget.

The aged care wages Compact was announced by Minister for Ageing Mark Butler on 5 March 2013.
